So here is the news that i can give u… They are in Turkey safe. My cousin also was there last night when they arrived. The responsible person about their GSE programme, Aylin sounds sooooo nice!!!:) I had a conversation with her by phone last night. So the thing made me sad that there was a passport problem but believe me it is nothing compare to my troubles:) Anyways, at least they get the visa by custom as i know. Now they are safe in Turkey! Welcome to Turkey! I will be with u guys when u get Istanbul or sooner than that! We will see! C ya!

So… Did my GSE team find their mascot yet? Check Reece’s carry on and make sure he is with you everywhere you go… he is quite the ham when it comes to photos! His name? Oh, sorry… Marcel – yes he is french… He’s not much of problem but occassionally can be clingy and you might get the feeling that there is a monkey on your back – when that happens just tell him to hang out for a while- Oh, and with the ladies, he has a magnetic personality!. Write soon… We are all anxious to hear of your first impressions!
Mary

Dick,
Did Marcel survive the mud rain?
As for Jenda’s entry – that’s exactly what GSE is like! You’ve had less than a week, and it will go on for three more. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

7. Donna Gambol - May 24, 2007

Hi all—I’m enjoying alll the aspects of your adventure—seems no GSE team gets off without a few passport snafus and airline fiascos…so reminiscent of my GSE Team INdia in 2001. Glad you are all having such a great time. Yep, the food is always so wonderful, be careful, everyone wants to “fatten” you up by preparing feast like it’s a wedding day!!

And arn’t the experiences wonderful on GSE–the people, places, and adventures? Have a great time….back here, this day Ivar and I are off to DC with 8 YE kids…and a day in Philly on the way home. We’ll think of you!!

8. BAHAR EGE - May 27, 2007

Hey there is cereal in Turkey! Tones of kinds of it! Do not drink too much Turkish coffee, it can hurt your stomack, you supposed to drink after the breakfast and if u trust yourselves about getting to sleep easily u can drink one after the dinner too. :)

9. BAHAR EGE - May 27, 2007

Hi everybody,

This is Jenda’s Turkish teacher Osman. She did a very good job at learning Turkish and I think she is further improving her Turkish skills now a days. Hope you all enjoy Turkey. I am looking forward to listening your stories about Turkey when you come back.

13. Kate Geiger - June 4, 2007

Love the pictures. Glad you are having a grand time in Turkey! How many calories did you say were in the coffee? Enjoy every minute and keep us posted. I am reading, just not making too many comments. My usual style.
